Following the African launch of the Campaign in December in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), here is a list of a series of various national 14 April 2004: Dakar, Sénégal - Launch in Senegal of the Global Campaign on Social Security and Coverage for all during a ceremony presided by H.E. Abdoulaye Wade, President of Senegal, and with Mr. Assane Diop, Executive Director of the Social Protection Sector of the International Labour Office. 2004 (no date yet): Abuja, Nigeria 2004 (no date yet): Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo National Seminar in Sao Tomé & Principe, 3-5 November 2003. Please consult the web page with details (in French only for the time being) and pictures. - A course on "Strategies for the Extension of Social Security" took place in Turin, Italy, from 17-28 November 2003. Please check the brochure in pdf format. - Presentation in Lisbon on 25 June 2003 of the book "Fight against social exclusion and poverty" - On 18 June 2003, ILO Director-General Juan Somavia joined representatives of governments, workers' and employers' organizations in launching the "Global Campaign on Social Security and Coverage for All," an initiative to promote the extension of social security coverage to more people throughout the world.
