Non-Standard Forms of Labour Contract in the Consolidação das leis do Trabalho (CLT) and the Flexibility of the Brazilian Labour Market

The text of this paper was taken from the research report Trabalho flexível e modalidades especiais de contrato de trabalho: evidências empíricas no caso brasileiro (Flexible labour and non-standard forms of labour contract: empirical evidence for the Brazilian case) - a collaborative effort between the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas (FIPE) and the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MTE). A similar version of this text was published in the Revista da ABET magazine, Vol. II, No. 2, July/December 2002.
