ILO Desktop calendar - Installation Instructions
To provide easy access to key information on upcoming events, international days, reports and meetings regarding the world of work, the ILO has developed a new desktop calendar that can be downloaded here. The calendar is updated on a regular basis with new content to ensure that the information you need is one click away.
Detailed download instructions are provided hereunder for each platform. Or you could just click on the shortcuts provided under the image.
Windows
- Download the Setup_2010_1509_Win.exe file
- Open windows explorer and go to the downloaded file location
- Double click the file to start installing
- For any system security warning, click Continue or OK
- Choose the install location if you want to install to a different location other than the default location.
- Choose the Start menu folder to put the icons and press install.
- After installation, you can run the program by choosing checkbox and clicking Finish
- You will the find the program shortcut in the Start > [your chosen menu folder name]
Linux
- Download the .jar file
- Open up the terminal program
- Change present directory as the folder where the file has been downloaded by typing cd [file location] at the command prompt.
- For example, if the file has been downloaded in the folder /home/username/desktop, then to go to the folder in terminal, you should execute the command: cd /home/username/desktop
- Once inside the folder, run the file as : java -jar Setup_2010_1511_Linux.jar
- Choose the install location if you want to install to a different location other than the default location.
- Choose the Start menu folder to put the icons and press install.
- You can also choose to put icons on the desktop
Mac
- Download the .jar file
- Open up the terminal program
- Change present directory as the folder where the file has been downloaded by typing cd [file location] at the command prompt.
- For example, if the file has been downloaded in the folder /home/username/desktop, then to go to the folder in terminal, you should execute the command: cd /home/username/desktop
