Minding the gaps: Non-regular employment and labour market segmentation in the Republic of Korea, Conditions of Work and Employment Series No.19

Many government and social partners around the world have been debating on the nature and causes of growth in non-standard employment. The authors of this paper analyze the case of the Republic of Korea which has witnessed a sharp increase in non-regular employment, inviting debates on appropriate policy measures. The paper shows that along with increases in non-regular employment, the gaps in job quality between regular and non-regular workers have widened.
