  7. Know about Business Training of Trainers

    This initiative is part of the EU- funded Tackling Child Labour through Education (TACKLE) project implemented by the ILO’s International Programme for the Elimination of Child Labour, which strengthens formal education and training interventions aimed at preventing children from dropping out of school and entering into child labour.

    On 26 April 2013, the ILO Country Office for Pacific Island Countries observes World Day for Occupational Safety and Health in Kiribati, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

  2. ILO participates in the Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting, Port Moresby PNG

    19 April 2013

    The Commonwealth Youth Programmes brought in ministers and their delegations from the 54 Commonwealth countries. It was divided into three separated by inter-linked events: The Youth Leaders Forum; the Youth Stakeholders Forum; and The Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting .

    The ILO is organizing this workshop to expose OSH inspectors in PNG to the international experience, best practices and guidelines for the inspection of the OSH.

  2. Fiji National Child Labour Forum

  3. Tuvalu Overseas Seafarers Union draft workplace policy for HIV

    21 February - 21 March 2013

    On completion of a training conducted by the ILO/SPC Pacific Island Workplaces Combating HIV and AIDS Project, the Tuvalu Overseas Seafarers Union haved drafted their workplace policy for HIV. TOSU currently have a HIV programme where they provide condom supplies to their members.
