Publications

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) publishes a wide range of books, reports, working papers, training manuals, CD-ROMs, videos and flash movies. Some of these can be downloaded directly. Others can be requested or hard copies purchased from the ILO Communication & Information Unit in New Delhi or by email.

  1. NEPAL : Successful Strategies and Experiences in Combating Child Bonded Labour (2011)

    With support from ILO’s International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour, Government of Nepal with social partners (employers’ & workers’ organizations) and other partners tested models of interventions that focused on resolving child bonded labour problem. These efforts continued through two phases of the ILO-supported SECBL project.

  9. MGNREGA - A review of decent work and green jobs in Kaimur District in Bihar

    15 July 2010

    The study attempts to quantify decent work elements and environment-related aspects in the execution of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The study reveals that the works in Kaimur disctrict should be considered green and decent, although there is scope for improvement in the areas of social protection and social dialogue.

  12. India: Decent work for domestic workers

    In India, there are nearly 5 million people working in the homes of others - most of them are women. The number of these domestic workers has swelled by more than 200 per cent in recent years, yet society in general continues to pay little attention to working conditions and the lack of social protection afforded to those in domestic work. The ILO Office in India, along with its constituents and partners, has launched an awareness raising and advocacy campaign to address these issues.
