Promoting decent work in India: July-September 2022
This is the eighth edition of the update covering key initiatives and achievements of the ILO and its constituents contributing to the priorities of India Decent Work Country Programme 2018-22.
From June to September, the ILO DWT/CO-New Delhi team has hosted the ILO Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, Ms Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa; held the Consultation on Labour Migration, as well as the South Asia Trade Union Conference, to name a few highlights.
The close of the quarter also saw our new Director-General, Mr Gilbert F Houngbo, receive the keys of the office from the outgoing Director-General, Mr Guy Ryder, as a symbol of assuming office on 1 October 2022.
