Statement of Commitment of Indian Employers’ Organizations on addressing TB and HIV in the world of work
Statement issued at the round table organized by ILO’s ‘Strengthening the World of Work Response To TB and HIV in India’ programme.
Following the roundtable, organized by the ILO on 12 March 2019, at New Delhi, the participating employers’ organizations unanimously adopted and signed the ‘Statement of Commitment of Indian Employers’ Organizations on Addressing TB and HIV in the World of Work’.
Support of employers is of utmost importance in the fight against TB and HIV. Having a secure employment and assurance of no discrimination in the workplace contributes immensely to treatment adherence of workers with TB and HIV.
