ILO and India, Chronicles of the shared journey 1919:2019

ILO over a century, to lead the pathways to ‘Decent Work for All’ by demonstrating inter-twining of international and Indian agendas.

It is produced to further stimulate work on the history of economic and social conditions, employment policies and labour legislations in India and beyond, including topics such as the roles of employers’ and workers’ organisations and key individuals within them, international migration, the growth of the Indian labour movement, and so on.

The book was released by Mr Santosh Gangwar, Minister of State with independent charge in the Ministry of Labour and Employment in the Government and the ILO DDG Mr Moussa Oumarou at ILO Centenary Celebrations organized by Ministry of Labour of January 22nd, 2020.
