Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. Workshop on designing and implementing effective wage policies

    20 - 22 August 2018

    This course focuses on designing and implementing coherent and effective minimum wage policies.

  2. Project Advisory Committee (PAC)

    1 June 2018

    The Project Advisory Committee’s primary role is to provide strategic direction to the project and guide the implementation of activities and priorities.

  3. Promoting the business case for ethical recruitment

    29 May 2018

    This consultation looked at challenges faced by the recruitment agencies and share good practices of recruitment. It was organized by the ILO under the EU-India Cooperation and Dialogue on Migration and Mobility Project.

  4. Preventing occupational diseases and promoting occupational health services in India

    2 - 4 May 2018

    A national tripartite workshop on trends in occupational health was jointly organized by ILO, Directorate General of Factory Advice and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI).

  5. Review Meeting with SCORE Enterprises, Simpsons Cluster

    30 April 2018

    Review meeting to assess the long-term effectiveness of SCORE Training for corporates and vendors in their supply chains.

  6. Technical consultation on recruitment costs borne by migrant workers

    25 - 27 April 2018

    This technical consultation brings together knowledge and experiences of national statistical offices in South Asia, research institutions, statistical experts, implementers of recruitment and migration cost surveys and the ILO to discuss ways of measuring recruitment costs that is borne by migrant workers.

  7. ITC- Turin consultative workshop on promotion of rural youth employment in Afghanistan

    23 - 27 April 2018

    A new course on private sector development in fragile settings through value chains, targeted at the staff of the Office of the Chief Executive of the Government of Afghanistan, took place in New Delhi recently.

  8. The Future of Work We Want: Workers’ perspective in South Asia

    18 - 19 April 2018

    The conference will bring together together representatives from trade unions, governments, academia as well as employers to discuss the developments that are driving the world of work in the future.

  1. South Asia sub-regional knowledge sharing workshop on domestic workers and home-based workers

    29 - 30 November 2017

    ILO conducted a bipartite knowledge sharing workshop with sixty participants from six countries in the South Asian sub-region.

  2. National tripartite workshop for validating National OSH Profile

    23 - 24 November 2017

    In collaboration with the Directorate General Factory Advisory Services and Labour Institutes, and Ministry of Labour and Employment, ILO India is organizing a national tripartite workshop to validate the National OSH profile for the country.
