Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

    Awareness creation on What is Child Labour ? Various ILO conventions on the subject. Disadvantages of Child Labour as a whole and with respect to the employers organisations. Advantages of eliminating Child Labour in the supply chain as well. How employers can guard against Child Labour in their respective organisations

  2. Joint Meeting with Employers and National Trade Unions on child labour eradication through promotion of ratification of child labour conventions C. 138, C. 182, C.87, and C.98

    Joint meeting with EFSI and NTUs to discuss on how ACTRAV/ACTEMP could work jointly on child labour eradication in small and medium enterprises, sub contracts and supply chains in larger industrial sectors and develop modus operandi for future action.

  3. Technical Workshop on the National Vocational Qualifications Framework in India

  4. Asia-Pacific Knowledge Sharing Network on Youth Employment (APYouthNet): Rejuvenation Event

    25 - 28 January 2011

    APYouthNet will host a rejuvenation event to take stock of the progress made in the community since its launch two years ago.

  5. Second National Stakeholders Workshop on Convention 188 “Working in Fishing Sector”

    24 - 25 January 2011

    The workshop aims to raise awareness of the state governments of coastal states of India and social partners on the Convention 188 to promote the ratification of the convention.

    The ILO HQ in Geneva has carried out a global study to look at country experiences on cluster development in different country of the world. A workshop is being organised to discuss the country experiences and what India might consider useful from such experiences.

  3. Consultation on Skill Development for enhancing Livelihood of PLHIV

    To organize a one day consultation with People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) on Skill Development for enhancing their job and employment opportunities.

  4. Workshop on safety and health at work in a modern business environment for employers and entrepreneurs

    The purpose of the Workshop on Safety and Health at Work in a Modern Business Environment is to provide information to employers and entrepreneurs in Bihar on safety and health at work, how accidents and diseases can be prevented and how work places can work on improvement of working conditions.
