Meeting with recruitment agencies

A meeting was jointly hosted by FICCI and the ILO with the recruitment agents to understand better ways to work on recruitment practices.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) jointly hosted a meeting with recruitment agencies (RAs) in Mumbai, India. The meeting entailed brainstorming on opportunities for the recruitment industry in India to ease the unemployment problem and also address the changing skills eco-system in the country. It provided the RAs with a platform to voice their concerns regarding existing and new policies that are being considered for implementation, and it helped them chalk out a strategy to better position themselves as stakeholders.

Members of two federations of recruitment associations, the Federation of Overseas Recruitment Associations of India (FORAI) and Federation of Indian Manpower Export Promotion Councils and Associations (FIMCA), along with representatives from the Government of India and state government-owned recruiting agencies participated in the proceedings.
