The ILO, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, and the VV Giri National Labour Institute organised the Workshop on the Discussion and Development of Training Strategy for Labour Inspectors in India. The objective of the workshop was to define the elements and rationale of a capacity building strategy for strengthening labour inspection in India.

The Workshop, provided participants with the tools to develop a sustainable training strategy that includes the development of training modules for newly appointed inspectors and for on-the-job inspectors, identify training partners and materials to be developed.
