Report on livelihood summit
The On 9 September 2013, a conflict between the Government troops from the military and police and the Nur Misuari faction of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) occurred as the latter group held civilians hostage and attempted to seige the city hall of Zamboanga City.
To answer the need of the internally displaced person (IDP), a livelihood summit was conducted with the following objectives: (a) to generate inputs towards the crafting of the IDP economic resettlement and development framework (ERDF); (b) propose programmes to improve capacity, employability and opportunity matching for the IDPs; and (c) generate policy, strategy and programme recommendations for IDP livelihood enterprises.
