ILO donates computers to typhoon-affected regions: PESOs to provide job vacancy information and facilitate job registry
The ILO donated computers to Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) in six regions of the Philippines affected by Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng.
MANILA (ILO News) - The International Labour Organization donated computers to Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) in six regions of the Philippines affected by Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng. The computers will replace damaged equipment of PESOs in Marikina, Pateros, Benguet, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Bulacan, Pampanga and Rizal to enable them to provide information on job vacancies and facilitate registration for openings. Ms Linda Wirth, ILO Director turned over 12 desktop computers and a laptop to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) represented by Ms Lourdes Trasmonte, DOLE Undersecretary for Labour Standards and Social Protection.
