The Millennium Development Goal Fund (MDG F) Joint Programme on Alternatives to Migration: Decent Work for Filipino Youth is one of the four joint programmes in the Philippines that will be participating in the Champion and Partners in Solidarity Series on December 6 and 13. Spearheaded by the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator, this series of events will provide a venue to: (a) disseminate initial gains; (b) showcase possible good practices/institutional technologies that can be replicated/scaled up; (c) attempt to match partners to collaborate in the replication/scaling up process; and (d) recognize champions and celebrate the renewal of solidarity to commit as agents for socially inclusive growth.

“Champions and partners, solidarity and recognition night”

The "partnership-building" outcomes of the Forum will culminate into a Solidarity and Recognition Night for Champions and Partners. The solidarity and recognition night is primarily aimed to give recognition to LGU Champions whose programmes or projects target the achievement of the MDGs while at the same time incorporating cross-cutting approaches on women in development, participatory governance, project greening and child and youth-friendly initiatives.
