Social Protection Lectures #5: Socio-economic conditions of old age population in Indonesia and their perception on old age income protection

This ILO Jakarta Social Protection Lecture explores social and economic challenges faced by old age population in Indonesia, and how did they overcome them, in the absence of public old age income security mechanism.


Speakers will discuss how old age population managed to meet their economic and social needs after they reach their retirement age, whether they save, purchase privately managed pension insurance, continue working, or depend on support from their children or relatives; and their knowledge and perception on publicly managed pension benefits.
