The ILO launches OSH learning programme and educational game

To strengthen the creation of a strong, resilience of occupational safety and health (OSH) prevention culture in Indonesia, the ILO and its partners develop an innovative way to raise the OSH awareness for youth through e-learning programme and educational game.

As part of the commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work in Indonesia, the ILO through its Enhancing COVID-19 Prevention at and through Workplaces launched digital occupational safety and health (OSH) learning programme and game application: E-OSH learning and KATIGA game. These learning tools are part of the ILO’s effort to strengthen a strong OSH preventive culture in the country.



The E-OSH learning programme is developed to raise the awareness about OSH basic knowledge and to contribute to smoother transition from world of education to world of work through the improvement of OSH knowledge and practices."

The E-OSH Learning is a free electronic learning site intended for vocational students and first year students with the aim of introducing basic OSH principles. Initiated by the ILO, the E-OSH Learning is also supported by the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. A certificate will be granted for participating students who fully complete all the modules and pass the final test of this learning programme.

“The E-OSH learning programme is developed to raise the awareness about OSH basic knowledge and to contribute to smoother transition from world of education to world of work through the improvement of OSH knowledge and practices,” said Abdul Hakim, Project Manager of the ILO’s COVID-19 Prevention at Workplace, highlighting key objectives of the learning programme.

The ILO also encouraged the application of OSH through an educational game. The KATIGA game focuses on the prevention, control and protection of occupational hazards in the work environment during this pandemic. The KATIGA game can enhance the players’ experiences in learning OSH principles and practices. The game is available in the forms of a board and a digital game. The digital KATIGA game is now available for download through the Google Play Store.



Funded by the Government of Japan, the ILO’s COVID-19 Prevention Programme at Workplace aims to enhance COVID-19 prevention measures at and through workplaces amidst of the pandemic that will facilitate business re-opening, continuation and expansion.
