Developing women’s entrepreneurship in the Papua Highlands - special edition, November 2010

Under the poverty reduction component, the ILO specifically managed the ESD programme. The project was aimed at facilitating activities to develop entrepreneurship skills among communities in these regions, primarily among indigenous Papuan women, in three regencies of Jayawijaya, Lani Jaya and Yahukimo.

The four years EAST project aims at promoting decent work for youth and the elimination of child labour in Indonesia, through the provision of an integrated package of skills and education services to youth between 13 and 29 years of age, in order to facilitate their school to work transition. It targets five provinces in eastern Indonesia and Aceh.
