  2. Migrant Resource Centres in Pakistan

    03 May 2016

    Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs) in Pakistan provide general and specific information on migration, referral and counselling services to potential migrants, their families and returnees, as well as raise awareness on irregular migration and the related serious risks. These two centres have been established with the technical support of the ILO South Asia Labour Migration and Governance Project and ICMPD’s “Support to the Silk Routes Partnership for Migration under the Budapest Process” Project. Both projects are funded by the European Union.

  1. Silent Shriek

    This investigative documentary was produced by students from the Islamic International University. By interviewing victims, experts, journalists, police and sex workers, the film gives an in-depth view of how seriously children in Pakistan are affected by child abuse, especially sexual abuse. This piece won the first prize in the video documentary category in a video competition against child labour initiated and co-funded by the ILO in Pakistan.

  2. Child labour ruins childhood

    This short animation was produced by mass-communications students from the University of Sindh, Pakistan, to raise awareness of child labour in the country. It is composed of four short stories, each covering a different form of child labour. The film was created for a video competition against child labour initiated and co-funded by the ILO in Pakistan.
