Due Diligence training to eliminate child labour in Uganda

Through the training, participants were able to reflect on the specific challenges that they face and learned how to use different practical tools to implement in practice the different steps in a child labour due diligence process by which companies identify, prevent, manage and account for the negative impact occurring in their operations or value chains.

The deliverables of this assignment will enable ILO and its partners to not only inform key audiences about envisioned and realized results and impacts of the Accel Africa programme but to also support the generation of relevant actions to eliminate child labour. Communication products will embrace a human-centred and story-telling approach around communities, national, regional and regional stakeholders experience in implementing actions to eliminate child labour. he deadline for applications is May 5, 2022. The organization will also support the development and implementation of a campaign strategy including the development and use of communication channels and platforms to create a dialogue and generate actions. These could include social media accounts, partnerships with media companies, shows (as a way to engage with users), radio, blogs, etc. The type of channels used will depend on the target audiences selected.
