Ghana marked the World Day Against Child Labour 2017 on June 7th with a Media Launch under the theme: "In conflicts and disasters, protect children from child labour: Mobilizing resources for effective implementation of the National Plan of Action for the Elimination of Child Labour - Phase II (NAP 2)". The event was under the auspices of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.

ILO to mark World Day against Child Labour: In conflicts and disasters, protect children from child labour

This year, World Day Against Child Labour on 12 June focuses on the impact of conflicts and disasters on child labour. In times of conflict, in times of disaster, when livelihoods are disrupted, basic services are lost and people can be forced from their homes, entire families become more vulnerable.
In Geneva, the World Day Against Child Labour is marked by an event held on 12 June 2017, at 1:30 p.m., at Michelangelo Pistoletto’s “Rebirth” sculpture in Parc l’Ariana at the Palais des Nations. This event takes place during the 106th Session of the International Labour Conference, and is organized by the ILO in collaboration with the United Nations Office, Geneva and Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto.
The communication campaign is to commemorate the World Day against Child Labour 2017 in Viet Nam and will include a series of activities, targeted at different audience groups
