Publications

The ILO Country Office for Viet Nam publishes a wide range of books, reports, working papers, training manuals, CD-ROMs, and videos relevant to Viet Nam. Some of these can be downloaded directly. Others can be requested or purchased in hard copy from the ILO Library in Hanoi.

    The second newsletter of the ILO Country Office for Viet Nam focuses on the Asian and European Labour Ministers' Conference, an MoU signed between the ILO and the country's statistics office, jobs opportunities for people with disability, and improving productivity for small and medium enterprises. The newsletter also highlights gender issues in Viet Nam's new Labour Code and a new manager-staff union dialogue mechanism initiated by an ILO’s programme.

    The "Strengthening of Inland Tourism in Quang Nam" project has published its monthly newsletter for December 2012. The focus of this issue is a joint conference on promoting sustainable tourism initiatives and locally-made products in Quang Nam Province. The publication also highlights a workshop on working conditions in Quang Nam's tourism sector and other activities including training courses for local people and the collection of information for the provincial rural tourism strategy.

A talk with Nguyen Dung Tien, who represented Viet Nam at the Global Youth Employment Forum, is also covered.

  13. Youth voices from Asia and the Pacific

    Between December 2011 and May 2012, the ILO consulted young people from around the globe to gather their inputs to an International Youth Forum in Geneva, ahead of the 101st International Labour Conference for which a key focus is youth employment. As part of this global process, 13 national youth employment consultation events took place in Asia and the Pacific. This report summarises the key messages brought by young people and policy-makers.
