National Achievement Workshop on “Improvement of working condition in agriculture with WIND programme”

The seminar is organized by ILO Country Office for Viet Nam in cooperation with Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and the Central Farmer Union (FU). The objectives is 1) to exchange practical experiences for maintaining and developing network of farmer volunteers and 2) to find out suitable solutions to integrate WIND programme into the routine activities of Farmer Union. There are 50 participants including farmer volunteers from target provinces and responsible officials at national and provincial levels.

National Tripartite Seminar on "Emerging Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Issues in Multinational and Large-scale Enterprises in Viet Nam"

This seminar is organized by ILO Country Office for Viet Nam in cooperation with Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The purpose is to provide practical measures for dealing with new challenges in the field of OSH by 1) presenting the ILO tools; 2) introducing practical examples from large-scale enterprises in Japan; and 3) learning good OSH achievements in Viet Nam. Participants are representative of government agencies and employers' and employees' organizations.

The objectives are 1) to agree on concept, classification of types of domestic workers in Viet Nam, identify scope and target groups of the new Decree; 2) to clarify characteristics of domestic workers and related issues to regulation under the Labor Code to this target group; and 3) to clarify content of decent work for domestic workers mentioned in the draft Convention attached Recommendations of ILO and clarify policy requirement for domestic workers in Viet Nam.
Sub-regional Training Workshop on Participatory and Gender Sensitive in Value Chain Analysis and Development

The workshop aims to help Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) practioners to understand the relevance of gender mainstreaming in value chain work; refresh understanding of value chains and value chain analysis cycle; explore the concept of participation and action learning, specifically from a gender and value chain perspective; develop skills in mapping for value chain analysis and practiced stakeholder mapping.

To mark the 1,000 year anniversary of Hanoi, Viet Nam’s tripartite partners: the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and the ILO present a symbolic mosaic mural on “Tripartism and Decent Work for All” to the city of Hanoi. The mural serves as an inspiration for Viet Nam to continue with the tripartite unity in social and economic development.

Launch of Project of Support to the Design and Implementation of National Programmes on the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Viet Nam

The project is to have national reach, and its pilot direct action programmes are expected to reach about 5,000 children and young people involved in the worst forms of child labour in five selected provinces and cities.
