  1. Promotion of Entrepreneurship Campaign for Youth in Quang Nam

    1 August - 15 September 2011

    The ILO Project on Youth Employment through Local Economic Development in Quang Nam supports Quang Nam Youth Union (YU), Quang Nam Radio and Television (QRT) in implementing a “Youth Entrepreneurship Campaign” aiming to provide young people in Quang Nam with knowledge of entrepreneurship benefits, career choice advice and awareness of relevant regulations on starting a business.

    7 - 8 July 2011

    The purpose of the training is to provide an action guidance on OSH services for officials who are involving in the field of OSH in project provinces so that they will be able to support SMEs to improve working condition and OSH at workplaces.

  3. Training Seminar “Equality and Non-discrimination at Work”

    5 - 8 July 2011

    By the end of the training seminar, participants will be able to: 1) Understand the application of Convention No. 111 with focus on gender equality; 2)Understand concepts and approaches to eliminate discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and treatment and equal remuneration; 3)Understand a range of strategies, practical measures and tools from international and national experience to combat discrimination and promote equality in workplaces; and 4)Validate the Guide on Equality and non-discrimination at work in East and SE Asia for use in Vietnam.

  1. Closure Workshop of the EU/MoLISA/ILO Labour Market Project

    28 June 2011

    The workshop aims to share lessons learnt from the three year implementation of the EU/MoLISA/ILO Labour Market project and good practices presented by selected provincial beneficiaries including Ha Tinh, Da Nang and Ben Tre. The event confirms the achievement of the key project objective which facilitates better information for creating jobs and skills development in Viet Nam.

  2. Training of Trainers on “Gender Mainstreaming Guide”

    27 - 30 June 2011

    The training course aims to improve capacity in gender mainstreaming (GM). By the end of the course, participants will be able to: • Understand concept and the importance of gender mainstreaming; relationship between: GM and gender equality law and gender equality process in Vietnam; • Define their roles and responsibility in GM; • Understand the structure and key content of the material: GMG; • Practice GMG in some contents: GM in legal documents/ policies; GM in projects/ program.

  3. Community-based Training on New Product Development and Reaching Potential Tourism Market in Hoi An

    25 - 30 June 2011

    The ILO project on Youth Employment through Local Economic Development in Quang Nam and Quang Nam Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT) delivered a training course on product development and reaching market skills for Binh An women weaver group from 25 to 30 June 2011.

  4. The Workshop to Review a Guide and Recommendations for Developing National Skills Standards based on the Experience of the Welding Standards Development

    21 June 2011

    A review of the national skills standards (NSS) to develop a guide and recommendation paper for the generic development of NSS for occupations in the future will be organized by ILO Labour Market Project on 21 June in Hanoi. An executive summary/guide and recommendations from the development of NSS for welding is developed to present in this event.

  5. National Conference on Dissemination of Results and Outputs of Viet Nam Labour Market Information System

    17 June 2011

    The conference’s objective is to assess and disseminate results and outputs of Viet Nam LMIS through investment in facilities and equipment for Labour Market Information System, both hardware and software.

  6. Workshops on Labour Market Short-term Forecasting

    13 - 16 June 2011

    The workshop’s objective is to provide capacity building on labour market short-term forecasting for staff of provincial Departments of Labaour, Invalids and Social Affairs and Employment Service Centers.

  7. World Day Against Child Labour 2011 in East and Southeast Asia

    12 June 2011

    12 June is observed globally as World Day against Child Labour. The theme this year is children in hazardous work. Many events are held throughout the world, including in East and Southeast Asia

  8. Workshop on Revision of Decree 127 on Unemployment Insurance

    9 June 2011

    The workshop is to improve the legal framework for unemployment insurance I in general, and to present, in particular, the draft revision to Decree 127/2008/NĐ-CP guiding the implementation of some unemployment insurance related articles stated by social insurance laws to get further comments from the agencies in charge of its appraisal.

  9. Action Campaign for the World Day Agains Child Labour in Viet Nam 2011

    The communication campaign is to commemorate the World Day against Child Labour 2011 in Viet Nam and will include a series of activities, targeted at different audience groups

  1. National Technical Seminar to Share Results of the Training Provider Survey piloted in Bac Ninh, Da Nang & Ben Tre

    The seminar objectives is to share and discuss the results of the pilot survey on available training providers and vocational training courses in Bac Ninh, Da Nang & Ben Tre in 2011. This exercise provides updates for the same survey conducted in 2009 and includes the providers and courses of MoLISA, MoET and other private stakeholders.

  2. ToT Workshop on OSH-Management Systems

    23 - 24 May 2011

    The objective of the workshop is to develop a network of local government OSH officials with sufficient technical skills to implement practical training activities on the OSH management system.

  3. Training Course: Making Microfinance Work: Managing for Improved Performance

    23 May - 3 June 2011

    This is an opportunity for senior managers in microfinance institutions, department managers, internal auditors, regional managers, branch managers and “managers-in-training” to learn and share their experience in microfinance management.

  4. Training workshops on Labour Market Information and Analysis

    19 - 20 May 2011

    The main objective of this workshop is to contribute to developing the capacity of the selected Employment Service Centres and DoLISA Employment Units to better understand and contribute to labour market information and analysis in Vietnam, and to effectively manage their performance at delivering services and implementing labour market policy and programs.

  5. Training of facilitators on conducting a gender self-assessment in business support organizations

    18 - 20 May 2011

    A three-day training workshop aimed at facilitators who learn how to assist business support organizations to carry out a self-assessment of their level of gender awareness and gender mainstreaming. The “FAMOS check” aims to promote internal learning in business support organizations, and to identify good practices and gaps regarding gender mainstreaming and provision of services to women micro- and small-scale entrepreneurs.
