  1. National Policy Dialogue to Promote Disability Inclusion in Ho Chi Minh City

    21 May 2015

    This policy dialogues has contributed in awareness raising for enterprises on job needs and capacities of persons with disabilities and obstacles they may face in the world of work and how enterprises make changes to ensure equal opportunities and access at workplace for persons with disabilities as well as related laws and policies in supporting employment labours with disabilities.

  2. Workshop to Roll-out the Migrant Worker Resource Center (MRC) Operation Manual to Employment Service Centers (ESC) for the South Provinces in Viet Nam

    21 - 22 May 2015

    With the aim of replication the MRCs module and introducing MRC Operations Manual, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs with the support from the GMS TRIANGLE project and World Vision organize a series of workshops to roll-out the MRCs for all ESCs in Viet Nam. Three workshops are organized in the north, the central and the south of Viet Nam to involve participants from Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs and ESCs of all 63 provinces throughout Viet Nam.

  1. Consultation Workshop to Discuss the Operation of Decree No.95/2013 in respect of Penalties Applying to Violations by Migrant Workers

    23 April 2015

    The workshop provides an opportunity for broad discussion around the issues pertaining to Vietnamese migrant workers overstaying their visas, and strategies for addressing this.

  2. Promotion of the Local Product Branding “Crafted in Quang Nam”

    14 April 2015

    The local products met many difficulties in reaching to tourism industry for reasons among of which the absence of a recognized branding could not convince tourists to buy the products. Together with the support in changes of designs and production, a market branding called “Crafted in Quang Nam” has been developed with a package of the visual identity and a management mechanism joined by different stakeholders. The event aims to promote the branding to the public after being approved by the Authority.

  3. Media Training to Reporting on Disability in Viet Nam for Journalists

    8 - 9 April 2015

    The workshop aims to share knowledge and reporting techniques on this issue to improve journalists' capacities and skills on reporting disability in Viet Nam and equip basic knowledge of employment for persons with disabilities and how important of inclusion persons with disabilities in the labour market.

  1. Workshop on Network and Experience Exchange to Become Safe and Healthy Entertainment Business

    27 March 2015

    The workshop provides technical assistance to the pilot entertainment businesses to improve safe and healthy working conditions through promotion of networking and experience exchange among them.

  2. Baseline Survey on Access to Mainstreaming Vocational Training Schools/Centres

    9 March - 30 May 2015

    Key findings of the baseline survey report has contributed to the National Action Plan on providing support to implementation vocational training for persons with disabilities phase 2 (2016-2020).

  3. Russian Language Courses for Employees in Tourism-related Businesses in Khanh Hoa Province

    1 March - 31 October 2015

    Consultations with related stakeholders such as Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST), Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), training institutions, businesses and social partners in Khanh Hoa provinces shows that the skills most in need of upgrading for the labour force in the tourism industry in Khanh Hoa province is Russian language.

  1. Promoting Public-Private Dialogues in Destination Development and Promotion along Ho Chi Minh trail in Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue Provinces

    7 - 10 February 2015

    Ho Chi Minh trail crosses the poorest western mountainous areas of Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue province where possesses many potentials to develop tourism including beautiful unique features of ethnic minority culture, history, nature and landscape. In order to promote tourism development for poverty reduction and create biodiversity-friendly livelihoods, the government in these provinces and tourism private businesses had dialogues facilitated by the ILO and all the commitments from governmental agencies were recorded in one Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a more effective implementation and monitoring.

    In recent years, those directly working or interested in the field of industrial relations has expanded in Vietnam, including policy and law makers, practitioners of tripartite partners at different levels, academics, and researchers. Each individual and organization in this field develop their own assets - that is the various knowledge, skills, information, documents, learning, and books on industrial relations in Vietnam as well as in the world. If these can be better connected, it will help form and also encourage a growth in, the resource of knowledge and information on industrial relations in Vietnam. This opportunity for sharing knowledge and learning will be one important contributing factor to the development of future industrial relations in Vietnam.

  1. Training on Improving Working Conditions in Entertainment Business Settings and Dialogue Workshop on Safety and Health for Workers in Entertainment Business Settings

    The training encourages efforts of entertainment businesses in developing/enforcing workplace policies that promote safety and health, including HIV voluntary and confidential testing, care and treatment.

    A two-day training programme on the roles and responsibilities of migration relevant government officials in the promotion of ethical recruitment for migrant workers, and health professionals in particular for Philippines, India and Viet Nam migration government officials was conducted in Hanoi, Viet Nam.
