  3. National strategic planning workshop to develop a roadmap to achieve Target 8.7

    9 May 2019

    In order to support Viet Nam’s effort for building the national alliance 8.7, ILO has provided seed funding to the Department of Child Affairs (DCA) of MOLISA to organize a national strategic planning workshop. The workshop will be held in 9 May 2019 in order to develop a national roadmap for achieving Target 8.7.

  4. Roll-out training courses for labour inspectorates from 63 provinces and cities

    15 - 19 April 2019

    The training aims at supporting MOLISA’s Inspectorate in execution and enforcement of labour related laws through building capacity of its resource persons so that these trained people will be mobilised by the MI to conduct other training courses for labour inspectors nationally.

  5. Second Joint Dialogue between the ASEAN Trade Union Council and the ASEAN Confederation of Employers

    4 - 5 April 2019

    On 4 to 5 April, ILO, through its TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme, in close collaboration with ACTRAV and ACTEMP, supports the Second Joint Dialogue between the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) and the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) on labour migration in Manila, the Philippines.

    The Labour Inspection Campaign 2019 is to be launched in Binh Duong by MOLISA and social partners with support from the ILO. This year the Campaign is themed “Compliance towards sustainable development of the woodwork sector”. In the framework of the campaign, a series of communication and guidance activities are implemented, in addition to inspection visits, to promote voluntary and sustainable compliance in the woodwork industry of Viet Nam.

    The workshop aims to raise awareness on international commitments and obligations related to child labour issues in the context of global economic integration.

    The event will be held in Hanoi in order to assess the achievements of the Law 72 in realizing the goals of related State policies.

  1. Consultation workshop on legislation framework related to child and minor workers, including child labour in Viet Nam

    15 - 16 January 2019

    A two-day consultation workshop will be organized with the participation of policy makers and officials/staff from the concerned agencies to provide their comments on the draft report of legal review and analyses, as well as propose inputs and suggestions for revision of the Labour Code.

  1. Tripartite Consultation Workshop on the Reform of the Law on Contract-Based Vietnamese Overseas Workers (Law 72)

    The workshop aims to assist in framing policies and adjustments to be made to the Law 72 through enable key stakeholders to provide their views on the review and revision of the law conducted by DOLAB and for the consultant to present preliminary findings of the independent evaluation. The workshop will also allow participants to increase awareness of the international standards relating to labour migration and best practices of the other origin countries in formulating law governing labour migration.
