Training course on Social Responsible Labour Practices in the electronics sector in Viet Nam
Under the framework of the project “More and Better Jobs Through Socially Responsible Labour Practices in Viet Nam” International Labour Organization Viet Nam and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes the training course on Social Responsible Labour Practices in the electronics sector in Viet Nam in order to enhance capacity for electronics enterprises towards promoting experience sharing in implementing social responsible labour practices.

Under the framework of the project “More and Better Jobs Through Socially Responsible Labour Practices in Viet Nam” (MNED) International Labour Organization Viet Nam (ILO) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) organizes the training course on Social Responsible Labour Practices in the electronics sector in Viet Nam in order to enhance capacity for electronics enterprises towards promoting experience sharing in implementing social responsible labour practices.
The training aimed at providing necessary knowledge on social responsible labour practices (SRLP); creating the need of SRLP and business cultures and; discussing the measures to strengthen cooperation and linkage between Multi National Enterprises (MNEs) and local support enterprises in supply chain of the electronics sector in Viet Nam. 32 participants who were officials in charge of human resource and labour from 20 electronics enterprises in Industrial zones in Hai Phong, Ha Noi, Bac Ninh and representatives from Hai Phong industrial zone management and Vietnam Electronics Industries Association (VEIA). Under the instruction of trainers from VCCI and ILO, all participants actively involved in the courses and enthusiastically shared experiences in implementing SRLP in their own enterprises. In additional, the Viet Nam Coalition of Electronic Enterprises was introduced and the organizers expected to attract the participation and voices of enterprises in the Coalition which would contribute to address and propose solutions for current facing challenges of the electronics sector in Viet Nam. Through the course, MNED project-ILO, VCCI, VEIA also collected valuable comments for designing future support programs that better meet the practical needs of enterprises and would transfer those messages to policy makers through the Vietnam Coalition of Electronics enterprises.
