    Tripartite Research and Policy Consultation Meeting on Migrant Domestic Workers in Argentina

    11 December 2013

    The Tripartite Commission on Equal Opportunities (CTIO) of Argentina organized a consultation meeting in the framework of the Global Action Programme on Migrant Domestic Workers (GAP-MDW) to discuss challenges for the implementation of the recently adopted law on domestic work.

    The Forum des Organisations de Solidarité Internationale Issues des Migrations (FORIM) a French federation of associations of migrant workers, and the International Labour Organization jointly organize a training of trainers (ToT) in Paris (France) in December 2013.

    Regional Domestic Workers Knowledge Sharing Forum in Latin America

    Representatives of governments, employers and workers discussed best practices and shared expertise on social security systems for domestic workers, their better protection and reduction of occupational hazards.

    ILO/Korea Multi-Country Dialogue "Effective implementation of the Employment Permit System" (ILO-Korea Program)

    The overall objective of this two-day multi-country workshop is to encourage policy dialogue and exchange of lessons learned and good practices in the area of remittance services, return and reintegration, and to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the EPS.

    6th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour

    The 6th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour is scheduled to take place on 26 and 27 November 2013 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour (AFML) is an open platform for review, discussion and exchange of best practices and ideas between governments, workers’ and employers’ organizations, and civil society stakeholders on key issues facing migrant workers in South-East Asia, and develop recommendations to advance the implementation of the principles of the ASEAN Declaration on Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers.

    The Role of Employers’ Organizations in Matching Skills and Increasing Mobility Across the ASEAN Region: Employers’ Regional Workshop – ASEAN TRIANGLE Project

    To support national employers’ organizations in responding to issues related to skills and mobility, the ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) organized a regional workshop in the framework of the ASEAN TRIANGLE project. Through presentations by regional and global experts and open discussion between ASEAN employers, the workshop aimed to increase businesses’ understanding of the implications of skilled labour mobility and to discuss challenges and good practices of employers in relation to migration in all skill categories.
