Anna Engblom's Profile

Ms Anna Engblom is the Senior Project Coordinator of the “Tripartite Action to Enhance the Contribution of Labour Migration to Growth and Development in ASEAN (TRIANGLE II)” project, based in Bangkok, Thailand.

When moving to Bangkok in September 2016, she had more than 15 years of international experience from Asia and Africa. During the majority of that time she was working as a project manager with the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Asia – primarily in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Lao PDR, Cambodia, and Viet Nam – in the areas of human trafficking and safe migration, child labour, education, skills training, livelihoods and microfinance. During 2013 – 2016 she was a Chief Technical Adviser for the ILO South Asia Labour Migration Governance project India, Nepal and Pakistan. A move to Uganda in 2010 offered her the opportunity to work independently as a consultant taking on a wide range of assignments primarily in the area of child labour, education and training with a focus on Africa.

Anna holds a Master degree in Economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
