Flyer: Panel discussion at the Geneva Peace Week 2019 - Trade, Jobs and Peace

The ILO and the WTO have partnered in exploring trade and employment from the angle of peace. It is well known that trade is essential for a country’s development. However, it is not fully known that trade can be strategized for (re-)building a nation, which in turn would also create jobs, particularly in fragile and conflict situations.

With the aim to reflect on ways of making trade beneficial in establishing peace and creating jobs, the ILO in collaboration with the WTO and Accessions - Trade for peace will hold an event on “Trade, Jobs and Peace” in the context of the Geneva Peace Week 2019. The event, which will take the form of a panel discussion, will take place on Friday, 8 November from 11:15 to 12:30.
