  1. Roundtable discussion at the Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development 2023

    Operationalizing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus through Decent Work

    During the Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development (15-17 May 2023), the Swedish International Development cooperation Agency (Sida) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) organize a roundtable discussion on the role of decent work across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus, in which also the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) participate.

    The 2023 Symposium, organized in partnership with the European Commission's (EC) Joint Research Centre (JRC), focuses on the theme of employment policies and social justice. The Symposium will highlight the latest thinking on how integrated national employment policies tailored to the circumstances of countries promote inclusive transitions and social justice.

    The launch of the Employment Policy Action Facility (EPAF) aims at increasing awareness of ILO’s support to member States on comprehensive employment policies, including in the areas of employment diagnostics, policy design, implementation, financing, and monitoring.

    Tripartite Meeting of Experts in Labour Statistics on the Revision of the Standards for Statistics on Informality

    The meeting will discuss the proposal for a new resolution concerning statistics on the informal economy, which will be presented to the 21st ICLS in October 2023. The proposed resolution to replace the current statistical standards, includes an improved framework aligned to the latest statistical standards.

    Technical workshop on Care, Decent Work and Macroeconomic Policy

    This technical workshop will showcase results of the UN Women and - ILO Joint Programme collaboration, inform on key lessons learnt, share innovative approaches, and reflect on issues and strategic future perspectives on care, decent work and macroeconomic policy.

    COP27: ILO events streamed from the Just Transition Pavilion

    Keeping the social dimension of climate change at the forefront of discussions is the focus of events being organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) at the up-coming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27). Together with the European Commission, the ILO hosts the first ever Just Transition Pavilion, a convening space for events, meetings and knowledge sharing around just transition and climate action in cooperation with the UNFCCC, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and International Organisation of Employers (IOE).     Orientation Workshop for the participating enterprises of Indian Tea Association

    The project, Safety + Health for all plantation workers in South Asia - India Component is collaborating with the Indian Tea Association (ITA) to promote Safety and Health for all plantation workers in the small and big estates of the members of Indian Tea Association in Assam. The ILO is starting this collaboration by conducting an Orientation Workshop for the participating enterprises of Indian Tea Association on 4-5 April 2022, virtually.
