2020 marks the 10th year anniversary of the ILO Academy on the Social and Solidarity Economy. Since the first edition organized by the ILO and its International Training Center (ITC) in Turin, Italy in October 2010, 11 editions took place in 10 different countries with the support of 45 international organizing partners. Around 12 hundred people from all continents have participated in the SSE academies, most of them coming from the Global South, including government agencies, workers’ and employers’ organizations, international agencies, SSE enterprises, civil society, universities and research centers.

The organizing team of the SSE Academies is preparing a series of virtual activities to celebrate its 10th anniversary. These activities will be open to all former participants of the academy, and to SSE networks. The virtual activities aim to expand collaboration with ILO constituents and SSE partners and contribute to advancing knowledge on the SSE globally.
