The Lao People's Democratic Republic ratifies the two fundamental Conventions on Occupational Safety and Health

On 4 July 2022, the Lao People's Democratic Republic deposited with the ILO the instruments of ratification of the two fundamental Conventions on Occupational Safety and Health: the Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No. 155) and the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187).

The Lao People's Democratic Republic is the seventy-fifth member State of the ILO to have ratified Convention No. 155 and the fifty-eighth to have ratified Convention No. 187. Both Conventions will enter into force for the Lao People's Democratic Republic on 4 July 2023, one year after their ratification.
