Outcome

The report of the first meeting of the SRM TWG was submitted to the Governing Body at its 326th Session.

The Governing Body decided to approve an initial programme of work for the SRM TWG that reviews a total of 231 international labour standards organized into 20 thematic sets of instruments grouped by strategic objective. The Governing Body confirmed the dates of the SRM TWG’s second meeting, and that it would, at that meeting, consider the unfinished follow-up to the instruments previously identified as outdated. In addition, the Governing Body referred the maritime-related instruments to the Special Tripartite Committee established under Article XIII of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006) for its expert review and report to the Governing Body.
