The future of work: More voice for better decisions in the enterprise

The French Ministry of Labour, the ILO Research Department and the ILO Office for France will organize an international conference on “The future of work: more voice for better decisions in the enterprise” on October 12th 2018 in Paris, in the presence of Muriel Pénicaud, Minister of Labour, and Guy Ryder, Director General of the International Labour Office.

Labour relations, management and corporate governance are deeply impacted by ongoing economic and social developments. Digitalization and the imperative of competitiveness brings a more horizontal and less hierarchical vision of enterprise. New spaces for dialogue are emerging which lead workers and managers to look together for innovation and to ensure the prosperity of the enterprise.

Questioning the current transformations of work starting from the enterprise level will be the objective of this conference. This conference will gather academics and experts from the economic and legal sphere. It will also feature business stakeholders, employers and workers representatives, who will share their experience.

The panelists will include Yves Clot and Jean-Yves Bonnefond (CNAM), Virginia Doellgast (Cornell University), Patrice Laroche (ESCP Europe, Université de Lorraine), Liu Mingwei (Rutgers University), Blanche Segrestin (Mines ParisTech), Virginie Pérotin (Leeds University), Olivier Favereau (Collège des Bernardins), Achim Seifert (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena), Gregor Murray (CRIMT and Université de Montréal), Markus Helfen (Universität Innsbruck), Isabelle Daugareilh (Université de Bordeaux), Uma Rani (ILO Research department) and Alain Supiot (Collège de France).
