Training Workshop on Implementation of OSH Services

The training workshop is organized by the Bureau for Safe Work – MOLISA in collaboration with the ILO/Japan OSH Project and the Health Environment Management Bureau, Ministry of Health (MOH). WISE methodology (Work Improvement for Small Enterprises) and concepts of the basic occupational health services (BOSH) are integrated into contents of the training. Delivered by Dr Kogi – an international consultant and President of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and Dr Ton That Khai – ILO Senior Expert, the training brings together around 30 managers and officials from MOLISA, DOLISAs, MOH, WHO, Provincial Preventive Medicine Centers, Trade Unions and Cooperative Alliances in the four target provinces of Hue, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa and Dong Nai.

Eight presentations are introduced during the two-day training. Participants understood main contents of the training and concept of the basic occupational health services (BOHS). They were also provided knowledge to identify and solve the workplace safety and health problems as well as to organize and implement practical improvement at workplaces in SMEs. During the training, the participants worked actively in general discussion and group discussions and provided very good and useful comments for better implementation of OSH services in SMEs.
