European labour forum on the role of labour administration and inspection systems in overcoming economic crises

The purpose of the European Labour Forum (ELF) was to share experiences on the role of national systems of labour administration and inspection during the ongoing economic crisis, and to discuss opportunities to both modernize service delivery mechanisms, and to strengthen the role of labour ministries in macro-economic policymaking.

It brought together nearly 100 academics, decision makers and labour administration and inspection officials, as well as worker and employer representatives from across Europe for two and a half days of reflection, debate, interactive learning and experience sharing.
The event was organized by the International Training Centre of the ILO with financial support from the European Commission and implemented in partnership with the ILO Labour Administration and Inspection Programme.
