Matters arising out of the work of the
103rd Session of the International Labour
Conference: Follow-up to the resolution
concerning the second recurrent
discussion on employment
The conclusions concerning the second recurrent discussion on employment adopted by the
International Labour Conference in June 2014 underscore the importance of proactive,
employment-centred, inclusive growth strategies and balanced, coherent policy frameworks both
at the global and national levels to address the current employment challenge. This document
proposes the main elements of a follow-up plan for the Office for the period 2014–18 to give effect
to the conclusions.
The Governing Body is invited to provide guidance on the follow-up plan (see the draft
decision in paragraph 61).
