  1. Better Work Programme in Indonesia - Stage IV

    The Project aims to improve working conditions and productivity in targeted employment-intensive sectors by improving compliance with international core labour standards and Indonesian labour law. In tandem, the project will promote productivity and competitiveness of enterprises linked to the Indonesian global supply chain.

  1. The Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work Programme

    The International Labour Organization (ILO), together with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) are launching a new Programme to address constraints to productivity growth and decent job creation.

  2. Employment Intensive Investment Programme (EIIP) and Decent Employment in Jordan

    The Project is the second phase of an Italian funded EIIP project, which aims to enhance green economic opportunities for some of Jordan’s most vulnerable workers in vulnerable host communities in Irbid and Mafraq governorates through immediate short-term job creation, on-the-job training and home-based business development support.

    The Project aims to support the Government of Ethiopia by contributing to the creation of more and better jobs for women and men in the agribusiness sector. Its approach is based on two principles: it will both “push” people into the labour market, by providing them with the skills needed to access employment or start their business, and “pull” them, by supporting enterprises and value chain development so that the private sector can grow and provide more and better jobs. In carrying out its work, the project focuses on building the capacity of national, regional, and local stakeholders to develop and implement policies aimed at boosting the job creation potential of the agribusiness sector.

  5. Creating decent job opportunities through applying Employment Intensive Approaches at Cultural Heritage Conservation activities

    The project aims to safeguard and rehabilitate cultural heritage sites in northern Iraq, through applying Employment Intensive Approaches in construction activities, including clearance, maintenance, consolidation, site development and presentation. Jobs created through this project target both Iraqis and Syrian refugees.

    With the support of the Australian Embassy in the Philippines, the ILO will undertake studies and consultations to better understand the skills development and labour market needs in BARMM and identify opportunities for policy making and programming.
