Employment diagnostic analysis: Bosnia and Herzegovina

Employment Working Paper No. 86

The present study offers an employment diagnostic analysis of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It reflects the data and analysis undertaken in an initial background study and the outcomes of the workshop held in Neum with the government and ILO constituents in September 2010. The report dwells upon various issues from the perspective of labour, such as past economic growth, high inactivity and unemployment on the labour market, gender roles in society and the drawbacks of the education system. These issues are dealt with in a structured manner and are inclusive of the views of the constituents of the ILO in BiH – the government, the workers and the employers.
