Based on responses of 40 ILO member States to a 1998 questionnaire about practices regarding data describing labour market dynamics and on literature concerning the same subject, discusses a study of the sources and analyses currently used to measure labour movement and flows. The study constitutes the initial stage of the ILO’s Key Indicators of the Labour Market (KILM).
