Financial and non-financial BDS for WED

ILO-WED works to build the capacity of financial and non-financial business development service providers (BDSPs) as well as the capacity of governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations’, NGOs, donor agencies and other intermediaries to deliver services tailored to the needs of women entrepreneurs.

The ILO-WED programme has developed an institutional capacity-building tool, the Women’s Entrepreneurship Self Check (WE Check) (formerly FAMOS Check Guide), to help financial and non financial BDSPs and government departments do a self-check of their organization. The goal of the self-check is to obtain a fresh look – and a systematic assessment – of the extent to which the organization targets women entrepreneurs, their needs and their potentialities, and to identify opportunities for improving the organization’s outreach to both women and men.
