Greening MSD Event Training Slides
On the 26th and 27th of April 2023, the “Systems Change Initiative” (SCI) held an event on “Greening the Market Systems Development (MSD) approach” at Sida offices in Stockholm. The event was organized jointly with the Green Jobs unit (which is also responsible for one of the components of the ILO Sida partnership, alongside SCI), with contributions from Helvetas and GIZ. The event was divided into two parts:
- On the 26th of April, the ILO SCI team, the ILO Green Jobs unit and Helvetas Reconomy program staff jointly delivered a half-day introductory training on “Greening MSD” targeted at Sida staff. The introductory training looked at different analytical tools and methods used in the MSD approach and how these can be adapted when environmental objectives are considered (see attached slides).
- 27th April Half-day knowledge sharing event on “greening MSD” with the ILO, Helvetas Reconomy program and GIZ. This focused on sharing different “organizational perspectives” on greening MSD through a panel discussion, which was followed by deep dives into greening sectors such as agriculture (GIZ), construction (Helvetas) and energy (ILO) based on practical
