    On 11 October 2013, the first European Union (EU)–Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) Seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) took place in Brussels as a joint initiative of the European Commission External Action Service (EEAS) and CELAC. This high-level seminar was organized as a follow-up to the Declaration adopted by the European, Latin American and Caribbean Heads of State and Government who met during the 1st EU-CELAC Summit / 7th EU-LAC Summit Government in Santiago (Chile) on 26-27 January 2013 to address an Alliance for Sustainable Development to Promote Investments of Social and Environmental Quality.

  1. Promoting green jobs policies: employment potential and skill needs in a greener economy

    The overall objective of this course is to provide a conceptual and strategic framework for the promotion of green jobs at the national level, by focusing on the social and employment dimensions of the green economy. Special attention will be given to the assessment of employment potential and the analysis of skill needs, through sectoral, cross-sector and country analysis in view of informing national policy initiatives. Target audience: representatives from Ministries of Labour/Employment and social partners, as well as government officials from other line Ministries (e.g. Environment, Planning, Finance, etc.), national and international development agencies, civil society organisations and academia.
