Master requested the Port Authority to allow vessel to enter port limits or to berth. P.A. refused unless there is a formal request by the local agent. The local agent would not do it as he is also in a dispute with owners over payments. The local agent is also withholding the seaman’s books against the crew’s wish as a form of guarantee. The vessel is fast approaching a situation in which the ROB bunker are exhausted and they are rationing provisions.

Fed. Int. de los Trabajadores del Trasporte (ITF) (21 Febrero 2022)
The crew have now returned home. All the crew except for the two Azerbaijanis, confirmed funds in their accounts. The wages for the two Azerbaijanis were remitted but apparently, the system in Azerbaijan requires the money to pass through the central bank before hitting their accounts. The wages, around $290K were finally paid by the buyer, although there was the possibility of the deal falling through.

Panamá (26 Agosto 2022)
Through Email dated July 28t , 2022, the vessel's DPA gave us an answer on the final status of the ship and confirmed the final payment of the entire crew, including the last two pending crew members. We received confirmation of payment from the ITF.

Fed. Int. de los Trabajadores del Trasporte (ITF) (16 Septiembre 2022)
