Sentence of death shall not be imposed for crimes committed by persons below eighteen years of age and shall not be carried out on pregnant women (Art.6).
    Abolishes torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (Art.7).
    Prohibits slavery, slave-trade and servitude as well as forced or compulsory labour (Art.8).
    Recognizes the right to liberty of movement and freedom to choose one's residence (Art.12).
    Recognizes the right to freedom of association with others, including the right to form and join trade unions for the protection of one's interests (Art.22).

Obliges States parties to adopt or maintain such measures as are required, to check the traffic in persons of either sex for the purpose of prostitution.

    Recognizes the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each State, the right to leave any country and to return to own country (Art.13) and the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution (Art.14).
    Recognizes the right to social security (Art.22), the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment, the right to equal pay for equal work, the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests (Art.23).
    Encourages everyone's right to education, which should be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages (Art.26).
