    Applies to all members of People's Police Force. Comprehensive legislation on maintenance of discipline. Chapter II regulates submission of grievances by members of police force who deem themselves wronged by superior officer. Chapter III provides for administrative power of Police Director General. Chapter IV deals with arrest and custody of member of police force who is charged with offence. Chapter V makes provision for different types of offences. Chapter VI deals with summary trial if offence is not serious enough to be tried by Police Court. Chapter VII regulates powers and procedures of Police Court. Chapter VIII deals with execution of sentences, Chapter IX with procedure to be followed by Police Courts, Chapter X with confirmation and revision, and Chapter XI with appeal.

Establishes inter alia that no person subject to the Act shall be a member of, or be associated in any way with, any trade or labour union, or any class of trade or labour unions. Part V regulates investigation of charges and trial by Court-Martial; Part VI procedures of Court of Inquiry. Part VII provides for dealing with property of deceased officers and other persons. Part VIII contains miscellaneous provisions.

    Comprehensive legislation on military service and armed forces. Divided into 18 parts. Part I contains preliminary provisions and definitions. Part II regulates application of the Act. Part III deals with commission, enrolment and attestation. Part IV provides for termination of service, power to modify certain fundamental rights, retirement, discharge and dismissal. Part V deals with service privileges, Part VI with offences, Part VII with punishments, and Part VIII with penal deductions. Part IX-XIV regulate procedures before court-martial. Part XV contains special provisions in relation to ships. Part XVI provides for dealing with property of deceased persons, deserters and "lunatics". Part XVII regulates appeals from court-martial. Finally Part XVIII provides for power to make rules.

    Regulates carrying out of departmental inquiries. Departmental inquiry is inquiry by superior authority into conduct of subordinate. Section 1 determines when departmental inquiry should be held. Section 2 regulates inquiry in case of inefficiency. Subsequent sections deal with preliminary investigation, opening step in formal inquiry, action on receipt of statement of defence, procedure at oral inquiry, findings and orders, punishments, appeals, suspension, and some related matters.
