Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation against Trafficking in Persons in the Greater Mekong Sub-region. -

Sets out the commitments of the parties with respect to fighting against human trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region. These include efforts in the area of national and international policy making and cooperation; legal frameworks, law enforcement and justice; protection, recovery and reintegration; preventive measures; and mechanisms for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the MoU.

Supplements Order No. 1/1999 of 14 May 1999 by providing for prohibition of forced labour. Prohibition does not apply to requisition of work in cases of emergency due to fire, flood, storm, earthquake, epidemic disease, war or famine, posing an imminent danger to the public. Sets forth conditions for such work requisition.
