Amends Article 262 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by replacing sub-section (a)(1) as follows: (1) Appropriate persons with the qualifications specified in the provision in sub-section (a) shall be selected

Also amends Article 344 replacing it with the following: “344. Laws must be enacted to provide for the care of disabled servicemen and the families of dead or fallen servicemen."

The State Peace and Development Council hereby enacts the following law;-

1. This Law shall be called the Law Amending the Judiciary Law, 2000.

2. The expression "2 Deputy Chief Justices" contained in section 3 of the Judiciary Law, 2000 shall be substituted by the expression "3 Deputy Chief Justices"
