The dates of entry into force of this measure are provided for in the above-mentioned Acts.

Provides that the special allowances received by workers in the state, public sector, and the public works' sector as provided for in Act No. 90 of 1998 are part of the wage on the basis of which variations in contributions are calculated. The same shall apply to equivalent allowances to be determined for workers in the private sector.

Order No. 23 of 1998 concerning certain provisions regulating the calculations of contributions for special periods of leave without pay within the periods of contribution to insurance.

Allows insured persons who did not wish to include periods of special leave without pay in their periods of insurance contribution, in accordance with Order No. 24 of 1988, to do so by 31 December 1998 in order to receive old age, disability and death benefit. The contributor to the insurance scheme shall pay the said period in one sum within a time limit of one month following the month in which he or she expressed the desire to add these periods. If the time limit is passed without payment of the said contributions, the amounts to be paid shall be governed by sections 14 and 16 of Order No. 24 of 1988. Also provides for cases when the insured person paid the requested amounts of money for these periods of special leave without pay prior to this Order.
